Have Enough Sleep to Slow Down Aging

The ideal sleeping time is 8 hours but of course this may vary as you age. As much as possible do not sleep 6 hours or less as this increases your chances of getting wrinkles and health problems. Avoid staying up late at night and make sure you are already asleep on or before 10:00 in the evening as our body tissues are being repaired from 10:00 in the evening to 2:00 in the early morning. During those hours our dead skin cells are being replaced by new ones.

Lack of sleep also make us easily irritated and as you all know a person that is prone to anger is more likely to get aged than a happy person. People with less sleep are more susceptible to viral sickness, heart attack, and slow functions of the brain.

Eat Foods That Are Rich in Anti-oxidants to Slow Down Aging

Some of the foods that provide anti-oxidants are dark green, yellow, and orange vegetables. You can name for sure which vegetables belong to this group. Spinach, squash, tomatoes, carrots are a good source of antioxidants. You can also take supplements of Vitamin C, E, and carotenoid to help your skin maintain its young look. These supplements can protect our body from any signs of aging.

Exercise to Slow Down Aging

This is an old story but real up to our times. Make sure you have a regular exercise in a week to strengthen your bones, muscles, and stamina. People who are exercising are healthier than to those who do not exercise. A good program is at least 2 to 3 times in a week. Of course you need to consider which type of exercise is best for your age. A simple walk, jogging, or lifting dumbbells could make your bones stronger.

Be Content and Thankful for What You have to Slow down Aging

If you are content for what you have, you will have a happy heart which slows down the aging process. Why do you see some people who do not look like their real age, either younger or older than their age? It's because our emotional and psychological side have great impact to our aging. If we worry less, we slow down the aging process and avoid having too much wrinkles. But if we are the opposite of a happy person and are always anxious about anything, we tend to look older than our age. 

Eat Nutritious Foods to Slow Down Aging

There is still no substitute for eating nutritious foods to slow down the aging. Do not skip a day without eating different kinds of fruits even by little amount. Drink 8 or more glasses of water a day. Eat considerable amount of foods rich in protein and fat on a daily basis. Don't forget to include veggies in your daily meal. Avoid processed foods like hot dogs, hams, canned foods, and the like.

Aging is not a thing we should slow down as it is the only thing we can do about it. Caring for our body and for what we eat, do, and think will surely slow down the aging process.
